Rani of Jhansi

Here’s a poster I illustrated for Celebrate People’s History, a project is “rooted in the do-it-yourself tradition of mass-produced and distributed political propaganda, but detourned to embody principles of democracy, inclusion, and group participation in the writing and interpretation of history.” This poster celebrates the legacy of Laxmibai, the Rani of Jhansi, an 19th century Indian queen who fought against the British occupation of India. You can buy a print of this poster here.
